Automatic control system of sugar end division

Automatic control system “Topaz” for sugar end division is an addition to technological realization and it intends for achievement of more economy and efficient work of sugar end division.

List of main functions of the system:

• Dimensioning of main sugar fractions: Letstoalignboilingfordistinctcrystalsizedependingon conjecture of the sugar market.
  
• Definition of boiling time for vacuum pans: Thepanholdsthepresettimeof crystallization, which allows controlling purity of intercrystalline effluent in efficient way.  
  
• Autorelease performance of vacuum pans: Letsto smooth peakloadsofsteamconsumption, there is especiallypositive steam consumption effect at raw operating and utilization of recycle steam.
  
• Automaticcontrolof intercrystalline set by keeping initatemperature balance betweena massecuite and cooling water providing the best effect of crystallization and therefore increasing of sugar output andtreacle attenuation.
  
• Thecompleteintegrated control of peripheral characteristic ofsugar end division work:
  
  
  1. Regulationoftheprepared melt liquor density;
  2. Maintenance  of the necessary temperature of effluents and melts;
  3. Batchandcontinuouscentrifugals controlling;
  4. Pumpcontrolling– current transducer using for controlof induction motors, efficient  method of energy resources utilization and also the possibility to get full integrate information about motor means condition and respectively their control.
  5. Signalling ofpumpand actuatorsoperatingandalso deflection of technical characteristics frompredetermined limit values.
  6. Technological characteristics record andinformational assemblage for the given time period.
  7. Thepossibilityofinstrumentpanelsremote control – graphical symbolic circuitsrepresent visual information about technological process, mechanic condition, operating mode, emergency situations from operator’s panel or computer keyboard.

Oneofthemaincriteriaofthegivencontrolsystemwork is highpersistence of the system (i.е. control system availability keeping at some hardware faults). Therearesomecontrolpointsforthese:

• operator’s room with work stations in it;
• operator’spanelsdirectly near vacuum pans;
• pneumatic control board.

Thereisaconvenientvisualizationformonitoringandsugarendcontrollingatoperators’ stations. There are specialmonitorsfor boiling program whereanoperatorora production manager can change boiling characteristics

Thereisalsoaknowledgebaseofworst-casesituationsforsugarend. It describes the system operating at a sharp decrease of vacuum in collector, at lack of sugar solution in the digest,  unconfined space in crystallizers, pneumatic power supply etc. Itallowssystem toreactadequatelytoincipient circumstances.
